Nintendo
Sell your Nintendo Switch. Joy-Con drift and all.
Switch, OLED or Lite. Yes, we know about the drift. No, it does not stop us buying it. Instant offer, free nationwide courier.
Almost every Switch we are offered has Joy-Con drift. It is so common that a seller apologising for it has become part of the ritual. So let us skip that part: mention it, get a price that already accounts for it, and stop worrying about it.
The Switch has held its value better than any console of its generation, partly because Nintendo priced it like it was still 2017 for years, and partly because the games do not get cheaper either. With the Switch 2 now out, the original is finally coming down, which makes this the awkward window where waiting genuinely costs you.
Three quite different machines carry the name. The OLED is worth the most, the Lite the least, and the difference between them is larger than the family resemblance suggests.
Every one of these has two numbers.
What it is worth working, and what it is worth faulty. Both are real, both are yours in about a minute, and both depend on the actual console rather than a best case printed on a page. That is why the number lives in the calculator and not in a table here.

Upgrading?
Then you are not really selling. You are part-paying.
The Switch 2 plays your existing Switch games, so this is an upgrade where the library comes with you. Trading in the old one is also the single best moment to do it: original Switch values are falling now that there is a successor on the shelf.
Take the payout as EpicDeals.co.za credit instead of cash and we add 12% on top. That is us paying you for not needing the money in your account today, and it costs you nothing if you were going to spend it here anyway.
The 12% is only worth taking if you were going to spend it. If you need the cash, take the cash, and we will not make the voucher hard to refuse.
What actually moves the number.
The dock, and whether you still have it
A Switch without its dock is a handheld. A Switch with its dock is a console. That distinction is worth real money, so it is worth ten minutes of looking behind the TV. The Lite has no dock and never did, which is fine.
Screen condition
The original Switch screen scratches if you look at it wrongly, and the OLED screen is beautiful and can burn in. We check both. Scratches lower the offer, they do not end it.
Joy-Con drift and rails
Drift is priced in. What matters more is whether the rails still hold the Joy-Cons firmly, since loose rails are harder to fix than a drifting stick.
Battery revision
The updated original Switch has noticeably better battery life than the 2017 launch model, and is worth a bit more. The serial number tells us which you have, you do not need to work it out yourself.
Things that do not disqualify it.
Every one of these lowers the offer. Not one of them ends it. Pick the matching condition, say what is wrong in the notes, and the price you are shown already accounts for it.
- Joy-Con drift, on one stick or all of them
- Loose or broken Joy-Con rails
- Scratched screen, or OLED burn-in
- Cracked or bent kickstand, missing microSD cover
- Charging port damage, will not charge or hold charge
- Missing dock, missing HDMI or power cable
- Will not power on, or will not output to a TV
